The boys, Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman, were shot outside Freeman’s home in July 2024 and seven individuals with alleged gang ties have since been arrested.
During a recent press conference, Atlanta Police Homicide Commander Ralph Woolfolk hinted that an “Atlanta-based rapper” filmed a video in a rival gang area, igniting tensions.
Although Lil Baby wasn’t mentioned by name, reports from WSB-TV identified him as the artist involved. Woolfolk accused the rapper of acting “cowardly” and vowed to hold him accountable.
However Lil Baby’s legal team swiftly denied the accusations, his attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg had this to say in a statement shared with TMZ:
“To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his hometown, a place that he loves and has continued to uplift, is disgraceful”
They also called the allegations:
“Complete and total nonsense.”
Lil Baby took to his Instagram Story to warn his fans about the information that hac been said about him, he posted:
“Please don’t be misinformed by fake news!!”
As the investigation continues, Lil Baby maintains his innocence as he fights to clear his name amidst the growing controversy.

I like Lil Baby but I hate when rappers play both sides of the fence. Donating money, handing out gifts, and lecturing the kids who idolize you while your music and daily actions glamorize gang culture and other self destructive behaviors isn’t really uplifting the community. He purposely tried to agitate his opps by filming in their hood. That reckless decision led to two kids being killed. He bears some responsibility and shouldn’t be let off the hook.
Whatever, Chile. You know you was taunting them folks. Better call your man, Micheal Rubin, so he can hug you from the back again in exchange for getting you out of this mess.
