Over four months after giving ‘The Giver‘ a live introduction via a stunning set of performances on ‘SNL,’ GRAMMY-winning songstress Chappell Roan is finally giving the song an official rollout.
Her first release of 2025, the boot-stomping, Country-tinged cut strutted onto digital shelves Thursday (March 13) after ample teasing.
“I have such a special place in my heart for Country music,” Roan relayed. “I grew up listening to it every morning and afternoon…Many people have asked if this means I’m making a country album? My answer is right now I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun.”
In a later interview, she clarified the stance that her next LP – the follow-up to her debut studio effort ‘Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess’ – will indeed be Pop.
“I really just did [‘Giver’] for fun. I’m not switching genres or anything,” she told ‘Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen‘ on Apple Music.
