The GRAMMY-winning rapper and style icon is teaming up with Revolve Group for her first-ever owned fashion and beauty brands, and she’s not playing small. In an exclusive interview, Cardi told WWD that:
“People have been expecting both from me. My beauty line, people have been expecting that, like an album”
“People expect the best from both fields. We have to come in strong.”
The Bronx-born superstar already boasts major wins with Whipshots, Skims, and Reebok, but this new multi-category venture is all about ownership, longevity, and doing it her way, stating:
“I personally believe that I put a lot of people on a lot of trends. It’s not even about getting paid, but its not appreciated. I gotta do this for me because I don’t get thank yous. If I don’t have a good year, I don’t get ‘How have you been?’ Nobody does that. It’s time for me to do my s-t for my own self, not for everybody else.”
Her Revolve collaboration, backed by her dream team, isn’t about fast trends, but timeless staples that feel good, fit right, and last. Long-time manager and creative director Patientce Foster also told WWD that:
“This is a lifetime brand, this is not a fling or a trend.”
Cardi’s goal? To create a long-lasting legacy, she said:
“If god forbid something happens to me, I don’t want my kids to be fighting with record labels… I want them to eat off everything.”
The partnership is set to formally launch later this year.

As someone who used to root for Cardi OD when she came out with her debut album, I honestly have to say this girl is literally delusional now and out of touch with reality. As far as longevity goes, she really doesn’t have an ounce of talent or style outside of a stylist or ghost-writer. Her only claim to fam is off of luck and the fact that Nicki pissed the industry off and they needed someone to “FINISH HER” *in my mortal Kombat voice* after Remy slaughtered her with Shether. The only reason why Cardi stayed around this long was due to her being more likeable and willing to open doors for other female rappers to have a platform to stand on but other than that, she’s not the artist she thinks she is and i say that respectfully. Shes a product of kim and nicki and literally is blind to it. The new album will come and go with little to no talk and I guarantee you that this beauty and fashion venture never happens.
