After introducing Cristina, Arielle, Moneii, and Bri to the world, the R&B crooner is setting the record straight on ‘The Angie Martinez Show’ about how his polyamorous setup actually works.
When asked if his partners are allowed to see other people, Ne-Yo didn’t hold back:
“No, no they are not.”
But he insisted it wasn’t his demand, saying:
“I did not demand their exclusivity. They offered it. They came to me and said, ‘I want to be exclusive to you and just you,’” he recalled. “I said, ‘You understand that your exclusivity to me does not mean my exclusivity to you. You understand this?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘You’re okay with this?’ ‘Yes.’ Okay cool, since you are offering your exclusivity and I’m taking it, now there’s rules that I need you to follow.”
The ‘Miss Independent’ singer made it clear, this isn’t about control:
“The main rule is to just keep it a buck. I ain’t selling no dreams and I’m not forcing anybody to be here.”
