Just a week after Leon Thomas marked a career milestone with his first top 40 hit on the Hot 100 thanks to the Chris Brown-enlisted remix of his song ‘Mutt,’ the GRAMMY winner is looking to repeat the feat by tapping fellow singer-actor Halle Bailey to assist.
Joining forces on the amply teased new song ‘Rather Be Alone,’ the singer-songwriters trade verses about giving up on a love that’s no longer worth fighting for.
“I rather be alone, rather alone (Oh) / Than being a broken home, I rather be alone / Oh, rather be alone (Oh) / I’d rather be alone / Tryin’ to do this for the both of us on my own,” they sing on the chorus.
‘Rather’ comes as the latest taste of new tunes set to line the deluxe edition of his latest album ‘MUTT‘ – a repackage reportedly set to include features from Brown, Bailey, Kehlani, Big Sean, and more.
