Normani got all sorts of emotional on the Jennifer Hudson Show.
As reported, the star shines in a new medium of film after landing a role in the Pedro Pascal-led ‘Freaky Tales’ (out now in US theaters).
Still, she has music on the mind. Namely, her debut album, ‘Dopamine.’
Released in June 2024, the project was well-received by fans. But it was subject to the same flavor of confusion that has clouded Normani’s solo journey, after arriving sans any music videos.
Promises have been plenty, yet almost a year on, there have been no supporting videos rolled out for the set, which is home to ‘1:59’ featuring Gunna and fan-favorite ‘Candy Paint.’
Tearing up during her visit to the Happy Place, Normani thanked fans in earnest and shared another update.

Speaking on releasing ‘Dopamine,’ Normani said:
“There’s a lot behind the scenes. Shout out to my label, but I was really willing to bet on myself.”
When quizzed about a potential deluxe, she added:
“We’ve been talking about [a deluxe]. I’ve got the visuals for y’all coming as well. I hear y’all!”

We’re clearly not alone in scratching our heads about what’s happening “behind the scenes.”
In any case, here’s hoping there’s some motion in the trajectory of the album, specifically on the visuals front. Even if just to mobilize Normani towards her next project.

Good to hear. There’s still the chance to re-salvage Dopamine with a deluxe edition and launch the visuals at the same time. SZA came back with SOS deluxe Lana, 2 years after standard’s release lmao!!
