Nearly 5 years separate music lovers from Trey Songz‘ last album, 2020’s ‘Back Home,’ but the wait for the LP’s follow-up is seemingly coming to a close.
Having already dropped a string of standalone singles over the last two months including ‘Can’t Stay Mad,’ ‘Gimme a Chance,’ ‘Lonely,’ and more), Trigga is firing out another banger – this time in the form of the retro-inspired ‘Say the Word.’
“Say the word / I can tell that you’re special / Just for good measure / Oh, I just say the word, love / Tell me again, you’re special,” he sings over production similar to Zapp‘s 1985 classic ‘Computer Love.’

At writing, Trey has not confirmed what larger project the standalone singles are attached to.
