Nicki Minaj – with millions of records sold and streamed, the most Gold and Platinum hits of any female rapper ever, the most Billboard Hot 100 hits of any woman of color, and countless other commercial performance records broken along the way – is regarded on many accounts to be the greatest femcee of all time.
Yet, despite her many accolades, the music industry’s highest honor has eluded her for over a decade-and-a-half.

Her tumultuous history with the Recording Academy (the organization that presents the annual GRAMMY ceremony) has only ignited its own set of challenges over the years.
12 nominations and no wins later, however, the Academy extended an olive branch by inviting the Harajuku Barbie to sit on its voting board to help determine who wins future golden grammophones.
“At one point, the Grammys asked me to be on the board. I appreciated it,” the ‘Super Bass’ rapper recently shared with her dedicated fans (affectionately called #Barbz) . “That it was a very, very, very kind gesture but my integrity couldn’t allow me to accept it. This was before the release of ‘Pink Friday 2.'”
‘PF2,’ Minaj’s fifth studio album, was released in December 2023.
“My integrity couldn’t allow me to sit on the board of something that made absolutely no sense to me and to anyone that understands,” she said after branding the offer “kind.” “So, I said no. I thought it was kind of them to try. Why would I be sitting on the board if I don’t have a GRAMMY?”
Though Nicki reiterated multiple times over her chat that the offer was “kind,” many decoded her message as “shade” given the headline-grabbing week she’s had slamming Roc Nation, Tidal, and industry peers like Megan Thee Stallion and JAY-Z (whom she says owes her $100-$200 million).

Yawn…
Queen!!!
🙂
The Grammys are so 10 years ago.
They can be bought….
The whole Epstein & Trump debacle really highlights just how fundamentally broken the United States really is.
In other news, I voted for Trump because he seemed like a massive change agent – a hammer. Turns out, him and his administration are the same-old cover for corrupt elite pieces of s*** that the Democrats are. And this is the crux of the problem – you just have to be slightly better than horrible to get elected in this country!

No, you just have to be stupid to have voted for him. He told you what he was going to do. You just didn’t think it would negatively affect you. Sucka!
I’ve said it before—this sh*t has been hitting the fan behind closed doors for a while now. Inside the White House, the pressure’s boiling over. Trump’s inner circle is fractured, trust is collapsing, and even his most loyal Republicans are turning on each other trying to dodge the fallout.
They’ve been running a cover-up in broad daylight, and now it’s detonating from the inside. This isn’t just dysfunction—it’s a full-blown implosion, and every crack is letting the truth pour out faster than they can contain it. 🤭
Integrity isn’t a word that comes to mind when I hear Nicki Minaj’s name. She’s more of an opportunitist who always tries to manipulate situations into her favor.
She in her feelings because Cardi slayed Paris Couture Week!
A true Sagittarius
Anyway Nicki you should work on the quality of your music.
I just don’t understand NOT putting EVERYTHING in the MUSIC RELEASES??? Why waste your spicy content & rants when you can profit from it in more ways than one? WRITE/RAP/DELIVER. Let them dissect it, talk about it, get more views, clicks, & streams. We never read, “Nicki’s rep. says….”.
🤣 @ Nicki actually thinking she DESERVES a grammy. Chris brown has 2 (for Best r&b album) and deserves them.
Her loss is our win. Imagine this bitter lunatic blocking all rightfully deserving female rappers from getting theirs. Oooh I know she DIED seeing Doechii get her Best Rap Album from Cardi B 🤣
