The multihyphenate is hot on the promotional trail for ‘Smurfs,’ the new Paramount Pictures movie she stars in.
As her ever-loyal Navy is all too aware of, it’s been almost 10 years since the release of RiRi’s last studio album ‘ANTI’ and, sans a handful of sporadic song drops (most of which have been tied to films), there have been no signs of fresh material. This, despite plentiful promises.
Speaking with Variety at the Los Angeles premiere, she was quizzed on her character and the whereabouts of new music.
And it didn’t seem like the climate is too promising.

With RiRi being pregnant with baby #3 and a billion-dollar business empire to run, we’re not all that surprised that music has taken a back seat.
That said, here’s hoping new tunes are incoming soon.
