Busta Rhymes‘ season of accolades continues.
For, fresh from receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the MC has been announced as the inaugural recipient of a brand new honor at the MTV Video Music Awards 2025.

In an announcement made moments ago, it was revealed that the Hip-Hop trailblazer will receive the first-ever MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award at the September 7 extravaganza.
The honor salutes the star’s “boundary-breaking cultural impact and an indomitable musical career spanning 20 million albums worldwide, 12 GRAMMY nominations, and seven Top 10 debuts on the Billboard 200.”
With music serving as the center of Rhymes’ illustrious career, he will take to the VMA stage to perform hits from his colossal catalog, which boasts over 60 million records sold.
The rapper, who took home the Global Icon honore at the MTV EMAs 2024, is joined on the bill by the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren, Ricky Martin, and J. Balvin.
