It’s a full-out war between ‘Love & War‘ hitmaker Tamar Braxton and Web and television personality Funky Dineva.
Braxton recently made headlines for revealing she was involved in a shocking, unexplainable incident where she woke up in a pool of blood, missing teeth, and with a fractured nose.
Amid a swarm of well-wishes from concerned fans (affectionately called #Tamartians), the GRAMMY nominee unexpectedly announced her new EP – ‘Heartbreak Retrograde‘ – leading many to believe the health scare announcement was merely a publicity stunt.
On Wednesday (August 27), Dineva (born Quentin Latham) slammed the R&B diva after fans suspected he was somehow involved with the shenanigans after videos surfaced of him hanging out with her not long before the revelation of her allegedly bloody incident.
“Now she done released this tired a** music video for this raggedy EP that don’t nobody want and because I’m in the video, people are going to think I was part of a PR stunt! I was collateral damage in a 2-bit PR STUNT,” he wrote to his fans on Instagram while expressing how hurt he was that she refuses to clear his name.
Braxton issued a subliminal response to his verbal jabs on social media.
“No matter what he says, I love Funky Dineva. Had I known what was going on while I was in the hospital trying to recover, I would have said something. It’s terrible that whatever I DIDN’T say turned into all this. I just want PEACE,” she wrote before adding, “I’ve done too much healing to fight with ANYONE!! I just want to get better and continue doing what I love.”
Her reaction seemed to quell his anger at the time.
“It’s done. I’m all good now Tamar. I pray you recover quickly and I hope the new project spawns nothing but hits,” he said.

That is, before she posted another subliminal message that he believed was aimed at him. In response, he delivered a message ridden with insults on Thursday (August 28).
“Shouldn’t you be somewhere recovering or waiting on a blood transfusion, since you almost died and woke up in a pool of blood,” he wrote before saying, “Your ‘near death’ experience sure as hell didn’t leave you grateful to be alive enough to the point where you would stop being messy, dramatic and desperately seeking attention. Yo ass must ain’t fall hard enough! Maybe you should get drunk, take them crazy pills, and pass out again! Lady, I done told you leave me alone. I’m am trying my hardest to not take it there with you. This is your second warning. I suggest you go on about your snaggle tooth business.”
Yikes!
Latham’s scathing verbal attack came not long after Tamar’s cosmetic dentist – Dr. Amira – shared footage and photos of what appears to be the R&B diva’s damaged teeth and gums after her alleged fall.
According to the medical professional, the incident occurred due to “sleepwalking.”

He is so evil, how can you laugh about someone getting hurt like this? She’s literally showing you that she was really hurt and it wasn’t a publicity stunt.

Look, I’ve only been able to make sense of about 40% of this and I’m still very confused. But one thing that stands out to me as new information is that, according to this doctor, Tamar flew to Miami within 24 hours of the incident — which seems to corroborate Funky’s statement that she was looking for dentists (Dr. Heavenly) the morning after the incident.
But the problem with this piece of information is that it contradicts Tamar’s claim that she couldn’t respond to the stuff going on with Funky because she was “in the hospital” trying to heal.
I’m not saying that’s a big deal gotcha but it’s certainly a glaring inconsistency in the story that makes this all a bit more incredulous. I do believe she lost her teeth and I’m even willing to believe she hurt herself sleepwalking.
But if she was able to get on a plane and fly to a whole nother state — while being active on social media, I don’t see how she couldn’t take a few moment to clear her “friend’s” name. Seems like she got caught being a terrible friend & she’s mad Funky isn’t being quiet about it.
