Beyonce‘s ‘Cowboy Carter‘ era courted controversy from its onset, so it should come as little surprise the LP and its accompanying promotional efforts are continuing to do so – even after conclusion.
Levi’s may have a reported a royal boost in revenue thanks to Queen Bey fronting their most recent round of ads, but not everyone is exactly crazy about the ‘Crazy in Love’ performer’s partnership with the clothing company.
Beyond that Sydney Sweeney snafu that earned the diva jeers from the likes of Piers Morgan and Megyn Kelly, the American Family Association (AFA) recently took aim at Levi’s for tapping the 35-time GRAMMY winner for their latest campaign.
Launching a petition via their OneMillionMoms website on September 24, the AFA targeted three of Bey’s commercials with the jeans makers: ‘Launderette,’ ‘Refrigerator,’ and ‘Pool Hall’ (seen above).
“Levi’s goes for shock value as scantily clad Beyonce is wearing micro-denim shorts, skintight jeans (with the camera zooming in on her backside), and removing the jeans to expose her underwear while laundering them at a laundromat – all suggesting how you can live in your Levi’s jeans,” their petition states. “The images and lyrics in these Levi’s commercials are distasteful and send youth the wrong message.”
Elsewhere branding the ads “inappropriate,” “vulgar,” and even “harmful to young children,” the group is urging concerned parents to join their quest to have the ads pulled from airwaves and the Web.
As of time of this report, the petition has collected 13,000 signatures (and counting).
At writing, no rep from Bey’s camp has commented on the AFA’s statements.

If Taylor stands/pose naked they won’t care, it’s a fact that they want to control anything dealing with Beyonce to make her against the mark of what they deemed to be what they want or who they want.
