Coldplay‘s Chris Martin sparked a divided reaction online after a video surfaced of him asking the crowd at his latest show to send love to the family of Charlie Kirk.

As reported, Kirk – a right-wing political activist – was shot during a speech at Utah Valley University on September 10 and died shortly after.
The 31-year-old’s death has proven to be a divisive topic, with some being vocal in denouncing political violence (regardless of differences in views) and others taking on a more celebratory tone.
During Coldplay’s latest Music Of The Spheres World Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium, Martin took to the mic to say:
