In true headline-making fashion, Donald Trump has stirred up fresh controversy – this time involving none other than Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Trump was talking to reporters on Monday at the White House when he revealed he had received a special request for Diddy.
Trump said:
“I call him Puff Daddy; he has asked me for a pardon.”
TMZ reported that Diddy’s team had reached out to the White House right after he was sentenced Friday to 50 months in prison.
It was also reported that the person who requested the pardon is very close to Diddy, and they spoke to someone inside the White House who has direct access to Trump.
The statement comes amid the 55-year-old being sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted on two charges of transportation for prostitution.

As a part of the Black community, Trump will not even garner an ounce of my support or respect if he pardons Diddy. Instead, he’ll lose some of my respect (which will place the level even further in the negative). Let Diddy sit there for a couple of more years and think about all of his past actions and the harm he has done to others. His good deeds do not erase all the bad. His sentence is light anyway, and how will pardoning him help the black community?
