From Whitney Houston and Patti LaBelle to Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, and more, Mariah Carey – one of the most legendary singers to ever grace a mic – has had her fair share of unforgettable moments on stage and in the studio with some equally iconic vocalists.
To the surprise of her fans (affectionately called #Lambs), she also managed to score recording time with the two biggest names in Pop music history despite said recordings never seeing the light of day: Prince and Michael Jackson.
While Carey admitted her song with the Purple One was never finished, she recently dished openly with Andy Cohen on BRAVO’s ‘Watch What Happens Live (WWHL)‘ (October 1) about her duet with the King of Pop being locked, loaded, and ready to go.
Hear why she said music lovers have yet to hear their musical union.

Carey, still hot on the promo trail for her September 26-released album ‘Here for It All,’ dropped by ‘WWHL‘ to dish on the project, her upcoming Vegas residency, and so much more.
When quizzed by a fan about her vaulted cuts (specifically the Jackson-assisted tune), Mariah detailed why it’s yet to be released.
“There’s an issue with his estate because they’re doing something really huge for him [in the future], and this [song] we didn’t know would kind of usurp that situation,” she relayed.
Going on to say she “loves” the song, Carey even suggested she wanted to include it on the ‘Here for It All’ tracklist.
“I’m so upset it’s not coming out on this album, it should be on there. Every time I would play it for somebody, they would [say] ‘wow,'” she said.
At writing, the special MJ musical event or recording Mimi mentioned has not been formally announced by his estate.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cohen quizzed the GRAMMY-winning diva about her longstanding feud with Jennifer Lopez and the virality of that unforgettable 2003 “I don’t know her” quip.
