Tamar Braxton sprung a surprise on fans today (October 31) with the release of the ‘Heartbreak Retrograde’ movie.
The R&B songbird has been teasing the audio-visual project for months and, at a point in September, looked set to hatch the set before a setback.
With that drama in the rearview, Braxton reaffixes the focus on new Tricky Stewart-produced material, which she has paired with a movie directed by the singer, Earl “Slick Two Three” Barlow, and Jamaal Avery.
Guest appearances include Mendeecees, Braxton’s ex-husband Vince Herbert, and matriarch Evelyn Braxton.
The release comes after the 48-year-old dominated headlines after a shocking spat with her siblings, Toni Braxton, Towanda Braxton, and Trina Braxton aired on the latest episode of WE tv’s ‘The Braxtons.’

Interestingly, as of writing, the ‘Heartbreak Retrograde’ EP isn’t yet available on streaming.
Suffice it to say, the Tamartians will be hoping it swims onto the streaming scene soon.

AMAZING SONGS THROUGHOUT! I understand Tay’s low register won’t be easily heard in concert, but it’s fantabulous in the studio. 👏
