Earlier today (October 15), the City Girls rapper took to X to vent that someone “ran off with [her] song,” leaving fans scrambling to uncover who she meant. It didn’t take long for the fingers to point to the South African sensation Tyla, whose upcoming single features the lyric, “Put me in Chanel.” She posted:
“This girl really ran off with my song and ion know how to feel about it mind you I played this song for this girl.
Like…. B*tch I’m confused! Take me to Chanel > put me in Chanel.”
According to Miami, she played her own unreleased track where she chants “Take me to Chanel” for the ‘Water’ singer long before either version hit the net. Now, with all the fiery tweets,s the internet is divided on whether it’s just a coincidence or a copycat moment.
