Swayvo Twain, the son of the late D’Angelo and Angie Stone, broke his silence in a deeply personal video as he processes the loss of both parents just months apart.
Full story below…
In his post, Twain shared how his father’s funeral triggered a wave of clarity, saying:
“When my mom passed it left me with a lot of questions, after this funeral I gained a lot of answers to things.”
He also spoke of finding motivation and answers in his grief, as he vowed to honor their legacies of his mother and father by stepping forward in his own artistry.
Stone died on March 1 of this year at age 63 in a car crash in Alabama, and just 7 months later, D’Angelo died at age 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer on October 14.
It’s a story of profound loss and resolve. Twain isn’t just mourning, he’s moving forward. His family’s voice lives on through him, and in his vulnerability, he’s charting a path toward purpose.
