In breaking news, R&B soulstress Angie Stone has passed away.
Stone’s rep Deborah R. Champagne reported to TMZ that the songstress left a performance in Montgomery, Alabama early Saturday morning (March 1) when she was killed in a car crash.
At the time of this report, no other details are known.
Known for her hits ‘No More Rain,’ ‘Brotha,’ and ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You,’ the 2-time GRAMMY nominee first broke into the music industry in the late 70s as part of the Hip-Hop trio The Sequence before gaining fame in the 90’s as part of the R&B group Vertical Hold.
She rose to her highest prominence as a solo artist in the late 90’s and early 2000s.
Her daughter, Diamond Stone, took to Facebook on Saturday to confirm the news.

Rip soul sister… something is not right. This lady lad been speaking out after being ill and someone had put a rumor out that she had died and she addressed of a while back. She’s had been speaking out about her old label including Clive Davis. My sister is not sitting well with this one.
