Meghan Trainor‘s new song may be an upbeat, cheery Pop tune, but its juxtapositive lyrics make one thing clear: she ‘Still Don’t Care.’
A sizzling clap back at critics of the one-time “body positivity” spokesperson who has battled a wave of backlash for her significant weight loss over the last two years, ‘Care’ comes as the first taste of new music from Trainor since dropping June 2024’s ‘Timeless‘ album.
“I was seeing a lot of hate all over the world, but I was getting a lot of hate when I started posting more pictures of … my fitness journey and my health journey. And I didn’t really expect that,” Trainor recently told the press about the inspiration for her latest tune.
