The matriarch recently showcased her vocals in ULTA Beauty’s new Holiday Drop campaign, joining a lineup of major moguls, including Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Paris Hilton, for a festive rendition of the classic ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’.
In the ad, each star delivers their own playful twist on the holiday hit, and Mama Tina steps in to highlight Cécred, the hair care line owned by Beyoncé, adding her “Mama Tina” charm to the musical moment. But behind the scenes, her performance almost didn’t happen.
Knowles revealed that she was battling a sinus infection during filming and had to call in some very special reinforcements: her daughter, Beyonce, and granddaughter, Blue Ivy, who helped produce her vocal section to ensure it came out just right.
She shared her excitement:
“Fun Fact ! My sweet daughter @beyonce took me into her studio and produced my vocals on “Five Golden Things” because I actually had a sinus infection when I shot my part of the commercial. So she and Blue produced the harmonies to make me sound a little better.😂 thank you Jesus!!! Because my Blue ( my manager) said Grandma you are going to be a meme!!!😂😂😂😂y’all would’ve talked a bunch of stuff about me if I would’ve sounded bad😂😂 I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much as we , Beyonce and Blue and me laughed that night , at me trying to sing😂😂😂 A Virgo and two Capricorns ! That’s a lot of earth energy😂😂❤️”
