As if currently reigning atop the UK singles chart with her first solo chart-topper ‘Where Is My Husband‘ isn’t enough to celebrate, RAYE is kicking off 2026 with news the tune could be well on its way to mirroring the feat Stateside.
With the holiday rush behind us, RAYE’s ‘Husband’ soared into the top 20 for the first time this week. Here are the numbers that powered its push to #13.
- Streaming ≈ 18.2 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales ≈ 2,000 downloads
- Radio airplay ≈ 16.1 million audience impressions
Beyond becoming the first Hot 100 top 20 hit of RAYE’s career, ‘Husband’ – found at #56 last week – now ranks as her overall highest-charting hit on the tally yet. It bests the previous titleholder ‘Escapism‘ which peaked at #22 in 2023.
The first single from her highly anticipated, yet-announced sophomore album (the follow-up to 2023’s ‘My 21st Century Blues‘), the Mike Sabbath-produced jam has already spent 14 weeks on the Hot 100 and is poised to become her longest-charting song on the hitlist to date.
At writing, that title is held by ‘Escapism’ which enjoyed a 23-week run between 2022-23.

Congrats to her….shes doing everything outta own pocket and completely independent. Boss moves
The imprint she’s under is owned by Sony Music Group actually so it’s not completely “independent”
Its not owned by Sony. Its an imprint, its an independent record label. Distribution is under their independent distribution arm. She pays THEM to distribute. Her music is fully self-funded.
Congrats – I think the second song is awful
