Janet Jackson, 2Pac, & Selena Albums Inducted Into GRAMMY Hall of Fame 2026

The legacies of Janet Jackson, 2Pac, and Selena are being etched even deeper into music history.

The ions are among the headline names inducted into the 2026 GRAMMY Hall of Fame, with their cornerstone albums ‘Rhythm Nation 1814,’ ‘All Eyez On Me,’ and ‘Amor Prohibido’ officially added to the prestigious catalog housed at the GRAMMY Museum.

Moments ago, the Recording Academy announced that 14 recordings, nine albums, and five songs will join the GRAMMY Hall of Fame this year.

To qualify, releases must be at least 25 years old and recognized for their qualitative or historical significance.

Jackson’s socially charged 1989 set reshaped the Pop and R&B landscape, while the late Rap titan’s 1996 double album stands as one of Hip-Hop’s most influential bodies of work. ‘Amor Prohibido’ is widely considered Selena’s most critically acclaimed LP and features the hit Bidi Bidi Bom Bom and its title track.

They join an eclectic class that includes releases that span the length and breadth of the musical pantheon:

The honorees will be celebrated at the GRAMMY Hall of Fame Gala on May 8 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, with performers set to be announced.

With this year’s additions, the Hall now totals 1,179 inducted recordings.
