A frightening incident at Rihanna‘s home has taken a serious legal turn.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman confirmed that the woman accused of opening fire outside the superstar’s property is now facing 14 criminal charges.

Prosecutors say the suspect, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, has been charged with attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or vehicle.

According to officials, Rihanna was inside the property at the time alongside partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, her mother, and staff members. Authorities allege the assault counts correspond to those present at the residence, as well as individuals in a neighboring home that was also targeted.

Police say both Rihanna and Rocky sheltered in a camper on the property during the ordeal and were unharmed.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive, though authorities confirmed they are reviewing disturbing social media posts allegedly made by the suspect prior to the attack. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said:

“We do know, and are aware of, social media posts that had been made that they’re looking into further.”
