Taking to Instagram, Lemon shared a rooftop snap with the superstar, soundtracked by her 2011 anthem ‘Birthday Cake.’ The timing raised eyebrows, given the journalist recently faced backlash after livestreaming a protest at Cities Church, where demonstrators disrupted a service over Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Still, Rihanna was unbothered, smiling wide as Lemon toasted a milestone moment. The celebration followed his appearance at the NAACP Image Awards, where he picked up four honors.
