According to a statement from the production, the 31-year-old began feeling “very ill” during Tuesday night’s show and was quickly transported to a local hospital for evaluation:
“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
Concern spread quickly online after her hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, posted from the hospital, urging fans to keep her in their thoughts.
“Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”
The Rap star recently made her Broadway debut as Harold Zidler in the hit production, marking a major new chapter in her career. The role was set as part of a strictly limited run through May, adding extra anticipation around her performances.
