If you thought the career milestone wins afforded to RAYE courtesy of her sophomore studio album ‘This Music May Contain Hope‘ were contained to her native United Kingdom, you thought wrong.
RAYE’s ‘This Music May Contain Hope’
First-Week Sales (SPS): 40,000 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #11
Not long after RAYE (born Rachel Keen) learned her ‘Hope’ hopped to #1 on the UK album charts (a career-first for the Brit-born diva), reports surfaced the project pounced to a career-high Stateside as well.
Debuting at #11 on the updated Billboard 200, the premiere not only comes as the highest mark she’s reached on the all-genre album tally to date but also marks her first top 40 hit there.
Its predecessor, 2023’s ‘My 21st Century Blues,’ peaked at #58 at the height of its popularity.
On the updated Hot 100, ‘Where Is My Husband‘ – the LP’s breakthrough single – is also found at #11. This marks her highest placement on this chart to date.
The noteworthy chart moves only reaffirm the buzz around RAYE, especially as she continues to thrill audiences around the globe with songs from the new project.

not 11 11 make a wish!
For someone completely independent..this is actually a good placement and after listening to the album it definitely has longevity. So I’m sure she gonna promote this album Stateside but in Europe she’s already having the success over there.
