Freshly surfaced court documents are peeling back the curtain on the former couple’s split and unpacking a whirlwind of accusations involving alleged abandonment, cosmetic surgery, luxury trips, emotional distress claims, and a jaw-dropping seven-figure payout demand.

In a freshly shared report, TMZ laid bare unique insights into the legal duel between the pair:
Amerie’s Monthly Income Revealed
According to the divorce judgment, the singer’s estimated monthly income was listed at $5,735, while Nicholson’s reported income came in at $10,000 per month.
The documents also revealed the exes did not own any shared real estate or joint bank accounts during the marriage.
Amerie ultimately retained ownership of her businesses, including Amerie Inc., Cer One Touring, and Mi Suk Publishing, along with a 2016 Range Rover.
Ex-Husband Demands $1.75 Million
Nicholson claimed he served as the singer’s manager, performance director, tour producer, and business strategist for more than 20 years.
In court filings, he alleged he was never fully compensated for his work and demanded $1.75 million in unpaid commissions tied to music royalties, merchandise, and publishing revenue.
He also sought spousal support and an additional $150,000 in damages tied to alleged verbal attacks and emotional distress.
Surgery & Vacation Allegations Surface
Perhaps most explosively, Nicholson accused the R&B singer of abandoning their marital home in April 2024 while he was recovering from surgery.
He alleged he was left covering approximately $44,000 in rent and additional expenses after the split.
The producer further claimed the entertainer spent roughly $20,000 on cosmetic surgery before taking luxury trips to Mexico and Jamaica.
According to the filing, he also accused the songstress of reviving her music career using an 18-week marketing strategy he allegedly created without giving him credit.
Custody & Child Support Finalized
The court awarded Amerie primary physical custody of the former couple’s son, while Nicholson was granted parenting time every third weekend.
He was also ordered to pay $2,298 per month in child support.
