Aptly, Mya is feeling retrospective.
Not only because she’s hitting the promo trail hard in support of her May 15-released studio album ‘Retrospect‘ (titled such for its 70’s and 80’s influences), but because the R&B diva (born Mya Harrison) has consistently been barraged with questions from reporters and fans alike about her 2001 smash ‘Lady Marmalade‘ with Christina Aguilera, P!nk, and Lil Kim.
As the chart-topping LaBelle revamp celebrated its milestone 25th anniversary this year, many are petitioning the ladies for a remake or even a reunion performance.
Look inside to see how Mya has responded to the persistent fan demand.

During a visit to ‘ET (Entertainment Tonight),’ Harrison addressed rumors about the four ‘Marmalade’ performers reuniting this year for an ode to the #1 hit released in March 2001.
“I’m hoping and praying and wishing and fingers crossed on [a reunion with the ladies],” she told anchor Kevin Frazier in a recent interview (as seen above). “I think many, many fans would be highly pleased.”
When pressed on if she’s already been in talks with Xtina, P!nk, and Kim about anything, however, Mya was mum.
“I can’t say anything,” she said before laughing. “[But], I would love for [something to happen]…at The Sphere in Las Vegas.”

Weeks later, E! News delivered a similar inquiry to Mya.
“We are actually all cool,” she told the outlet in response to the quizzing. “It’s just about scheduling, budgeting, planning out the proper platform to support it in a major way to support it.”
While chatting through her “dream” setup for a reunion, however, the 46-year-old waxed honest about the pressure that would come with trying to follow such a big song.
“We have to meet or exceed expectations. It’s very important so that there are no disappointments. And there are just a lot of logistical aspects to making something like that happen,” she relayed.
At writing, Kim, P!nk, nor Xtina has spoken openly about any intent to reunite the diva quartet and no tentative plans have been announced.
