Despite decades of dominating R&B, Ne-Yo is looking to replicate that success on a different side of the Billboard tracks: Country charts.
As has been amply teased via previous singles ‘Simple Things’ and ‘Up, Out, & Gone,’ the award-winning singer-songwriter is showing off his versatility by tipping his hat the way of Nashville with a new album titled ‘Highway 79‘ due on digital shelves July 10.
Before fans boot up to run to digital streaming platforms for a taste of the project’s full offerings this Summer, however, he’s given them another reason to be excited about its arrival courtesy of the new song ‘Ms. Tundra.’
“Went and got me a country girl with a big ol’ butt (Big ol’ butt) / And I call her Ms. Tundra ’cause she built like a truck (Built like a truck) / Anytime I get hungry, she serve it right up,” he croons over Chuck Harmony production.
