Ed Sheeran Tour: Finneas & Support-Act Exit in Support of Macklemoore's Palestine Stance

Ed Sheeran’s ‘Loop Tour’ is facing another major shake-up, with FINNEAS pulling out of his scheduled support dates in the wake of Macklemore’s removal.

The GRAMMY and Oscar winner had been due to join Sheeran for six South American shows later this year. Now, he has made clear he will no longer take part, and he is far from the only act heading for the exit.

Full story below…

The move comes after Macklemore was dropped from the US leg of the trek following his ‘Free Palestine’ remarks during Sheeran’s MetLife Stadium shows.

FINNEAS announced his withdrawal on social media, writing:

“Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed. I have decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates with Ed Sheeran.”

The 29-year-old added that he stands with Palestine and its people.

Per TMZ, FINNEAS had been booked for six dates across the South American leg in late November and early December.

And the fallout has widened considerably.

Aaron Rowe, Beoga, and Lukas Graham have also announced their exits from dates on the tour, leaving Sheeran’s support roster substantially altered.

The developments arrive after Macklemore broke his silence on his removal and detailed the pressure he says surrounded the decision.

Sheeran has since stressed that Macklemore’s departure was the promoter’s decision rather than his own, saying he had spent the week attempting to find a resolution.

The ‘Loop Tour’, which TGJ previously spotlighted, is scheduled to resume in Philadelphia on September 19.
