Despite the album nearing it’s 1st year anniversary, Cole is still readying new singles to be lifted from the album – namely the slow jam ‘I Choose You’ (which she confirmed in early July would indeed succeed October 2012’s ‘Trust and Believe’ to act as ‘Woman’s third single).

Michelle today via an interview with Hot 97.

She’s years late with this single. And it’s not even a good choice. Stubborn, Missing Me or Woman To Woman should’ve been released. I don’t mess with K. Michelle or that show she’s on but I like the opening track of her album “My Life” and I LOVE her song “Can’t Raise A Man” and I saw her perform that song live on youtube and I enjoyed it. Better performance than Rihanna have ever done in my opinion.
Album sells actually have been good for an R&B album she sold more than most. Interscope aren’t supporting R&B albums right now but she toured here and the UK she’s doing great for an R&B album and her new shoe deal with Steve Madden made everything else great. She has a movie coming out in the next 8months.

In answer to the post question, no I would not have selected ICY as the next single. TRUST & BELIEVE & ICY are really good ballads but it’s risky to do back-2-back ballads. Key & her label should have pushed either ZERO or HEY S*** for the summer and then maybe NEXT MOVE. However in contrast to the single selections for her 2 previous albums, I think they did a better job with this album.
I am HERE for a Key/K-Michi tour; love both of their music and hope they come through Philly! I also hope they give me a little bit of my life back & record a duet – it would be hott given that they both write their own lyrics.

Success is not measured by album sales. If that were the case many artists would not be making music lol. An artists career is about growth and creating a brand. I think both are doing a great job at it and are where they need to be in there careers. I love both of these ladies and wish them the best.
