The future’s bright, the future’s free for singer JoJo.
January brought with it the announcement the star’s army of fans had been patiently awaiting – her contract with previous label had been dissolved in December after a lengthy legal battle.
Now, having signed a new deal with Atlantic Records, the 23-year-old is wasting no time cooking up her eagerly anticipated third studio album.
In new interview with ABC News, the Boston-bred belter provides an insight into what her supporters can expect.

On The Legal Battle Being Over:
“I’m super happy to not have to think about it anymore. I’m just excited for the next chapter and I’m just completely focused on the future and the present and leaving the past in the past.”
On Her New Album/Label:
“I just can’t wait to create a classic album and to work my ass off and I know they’ll [Atlantic Records] do the same. They’ve been amazing.”
On How Album Will Sound:
“You can expect a diverse collection of songs that help to explain me as a young woman and I think will speak to what it means to be a young woman in 2014, which isn’t just girl power anthems or boy-bashing songs, but it’s a wide variety of different influences”.
On Keeping Fans Stocked Up With New Music:
“I want to continue putting out content. I don’t know whether it’ll be in the form of a mixtape or just a few one-off songs, but I just think content is content. So, I just want to keep releasing stuff and kind of having it all lend itself to my world that I’m creating.”
On Her Official New Single:
“I think our aim is to have a single out this summer. I’m getting into the studio as soon as I get back to L.A…locking in and just creating.”
On Touring:
“Yes, (I will tour) for sure.
I’m going to do it all. I want to work harder than I’ve ever worked in my entire life. It’s incredible. I have energy in places that I never thought I’d have energy. I feel like I was reborn, honestly.”

I do agree that Ariana is with a better team. I love Jojo but I was hoping with the new label deal she would have sought out new management also. But she is still with the same horrible management. She should try to get with Scooter Braun. He loves him some white artist that are R&b influenced and Jojo was out before Justin, Ariana and Tori and should fit right in.
She has the skills. But she needs to be with a team that knows how to move her career forward and get her more exposure.
