Speaking backstage with The Breakfast Club at the festival, Cardi revealed that she plans to retreat from the spotlight after her birthday celebrations and focus heavily on recording.
“After my birthday, in November, I’m shipping myself away. Shipping myself away just to record.”
Asked whether fans would face another eight-year gap between projects, she emphatically replied, “Nope,” before revealing she already has two songs in the can.
Cardi also made clear that 2027 is the target:
“Absolutely. I’m not even playing around. I just got this confidence. I got this new attitude. Like, I’m ready.”

The update builds on Cardi’s recent confirmation to Vogue Arabia that album three was already being worked on.
And new music won’t be the only major Bardi activity next year.
During a separate X Spaces session, the 33-year-old teased plans to take her live show worldwide:
“Next year I’m gonna have a humongous tour. I’m going to Europe. This year is gonna be really, really, really, really, really good for y’all.”

It follows the blockbuster success of the ‘Little Miss Drama Tour,’ which sold 453,000 tickets and grossed an estimated $70 million across its North American run.
From album three to an international arena takeover, Cardi clearly isn’t easing off the gas.
