Michael Jackson may no longer be with us physically, yet the potency of his legacy lives on; a fact evidenced in earnest today when news of his new album sent the industry into a frenzy.

Christened ‘Xscape’, the Epic Records set will arrive on May 13th – boasting production from the likes of Timbaland, Stargate, and Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins. The latter produced the project’s title track – a refreshed version of a song recorded during the sessions for Jackson’s last album alive – ‘Invincible’ .

Can’t wait for May? Team MJ are giving fans a morsel of the new song to sample. Take a listen below…

Having heard (and enjoyed) the original, this refreshed take sounds promising.

While it’s great to hear his INCREDIBLE beatboxing I can’t be the only one wondering where the melody is.

Darkchild is Mr Melody himself so I hope this is just a remix and not the album version.

    I hope… :/

Why is timbaland producing this tho? Hope this turns out good.

Going by “S**** To The Rhythm” the beat sounds good. Should have give it to Justin Timberlake tho, because anyone with respect won’t buy it!

  4. Christuna Aguihaha March 31, 2014

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! let him rest in peace

  5. Touché March 31, 2014

    ^Exactly. This is just disrespectful.

  6. Stephy March 31, 2014

Death! Why do they keep doing this. Michael has sold over 400,000,000+ records in his lifetime! Just leak the damn songs and call it a day!

Also, that pic of him looks creepy…

  7. BOB March 31, 2014

I loved it! I’ll buy the new album.

  8. Molly March 31, 2014

    Michael rolling in his grave

  9. Yeah I Said It March 31, 2014

    Omg no. Just stop.

  10. whut March 31, 2014

This is just all kinds of wrong. They don’t give a isht about Michael or his legacy, as long as they can still make money. Disgusting. and people wanna call his family greedy smh….

  11. Rosie March 31, 2014

Epic is so desperate right now. Especially since all of their other artists are flopping hard. It’s obvious they’re releasing this just to make a profit.

  12. Shaquinisha-Rose March 31, 2014

To be honest…I know it’s just a snippet but it sounds like generic MJ. What is the REAL reason behind them releasing this album?? And if it’s supposed to be MJ’s BEST, then will this be the LAST album they release? I doubt it…
And I think the cover it horrible.

  13. Dirty Laundry March 31, 2014

    Hmmm

  14. Realest March 31, 2014

This will be great, stop hating. Michael has thousands of songs recorded that are possible gems. As the most CELEBRATED artist in history why would you expect this to happen? It is no different from his Cirque Du Soleil show, this is it etc. It’s to be expected. This isn’t Aaliyah! This isn’t 2Pac! Not Biggie! Not Left Eye! This is Michael, the most extravagant, grandiose, faboo entertainer ever, you’d better believe Michael would be all for the legendary timbaland/dark child to tribute him. It’s not drake and Aaliyah… It’s one legend (MJ) to the next (timbo/RJ).

I think it is really ashame that they are tarnishing THE KING OF POPS Legacy with releasing music that he didn’t release while alive!!! Theres a reason why it wasn’t released and to release this is WRONG!!! Michael Jackson was a PERFECTIONIST this is defecating on his artistry. Most of the producers and including LA REIDs own SON would have never worked with THE KING… WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! SORRY I LOVE THE KING BUT I will not support this!!!!!

  16. Dem Lessors March 31, 2014

This all just seems a little too low even for the record companies. He should be the only one who decides his legacy not some greedy Exec or anyone else. Even beyond the grave they just won’t let him be in peace. Popstars like vomit caca go on about how people used them for money during their short peak but situations like this are the real deal to a much much greater extent.

      Pop music is dying!
Along with Britney & Gagas careers….

…H**, don’t chat s*** about Britney, you need to remember who’s the biggest flop the music world has ever seen! She has a baby on the way and birthed 3 flop album in a row. Even selling her last album on Groupon’s bargain bin couldn’t keep her album in the top 20 for more than a week. Life got hard for that b**** when Crunk died along with her career. She better hold on to Future and the Kartrashians because without them that baby will be raised on welfare. I could go on all day, no lie!

    This is sickening….

Poor Michael, he didn’t released new material when he was alive because he wanted it to be perfect/was afraid to fail and now his record label is releasing embarrassing albums, that’s why an artist should not be afraid to take risk and be worry about flop records, once you have a career like Michael had, you didn’t have to care, look at Madonna and Mariah, Prince, they keep releasing music no matter the results, it seems to me that MJ was more interested in success than the music itself, don’t get me wrong Michael was a talented performer but he most be the most overrated artist of all times, there are artists who are way more talented than he was, yet, they are not as revered as Michael is. People always complain and criticize pop artists but Michael was the epitome of a Pop artist, everything people hate on them, Michael was, as an artist, they just don’t realize because he has been glorified as the greatest of all, just listen to his discography and then tell me if he wasn’t as basic as most pop stars.

    • S****** Blonde April 1, 2014

      Must be, typos.

      • BEYAWNCE April 1, 2014

        SHUT UP!

    • Sandra April 1, 2014

If anyone is overrated it’s MADONNA, at least Michael Jackson could sing and dance, Madonna can’t. Mind you Michael has been having hits and been a star since the 60’s, Madonna and Prince became big in the 80’s when Michael was already a veteran. And the reason why Michael didn’t release any music since 2001 was because he had basically retired to take care of his kids, he wasn’t afraid of releasing music he just didn’t want to. He still recorded some music but not for public release, only cause he loved doing it. He wasn’t desperate like madonna who releases s*** garbage generic basic music just to have an excuse to tour.

  21. Sandra April 1, 2014

I don’t like the idea of this new “MJ album”, because it’s disrespectful to Michael and his legacy. They just do it for money, and it’s just wrong. I love MJ but I won’t support this “album”. Michael did not want these songs to be released, and it’s a lack of respect to go against his will when he’s not here to protest against it himself. Some people say it’s because his legacy should continue and to make money for his kids, but his amazing 35+ years discography is enough for that, his old music is still selling and is making millions every year. Why not release his amazing tours on DVD or Bluray instead of cutting and pasting unreleased songs into “new songs”? Why not remaster and release the amazing Destiny tour, Victory tour and Triumph tour on DVD/Bluray? As it is today, none of these tours when MJ was in his prime barely have any high quality footage available. Why not release a HIGH QUALITY concert on dvd of his Bad tour? (the one released in 2012 was soo low quality it’s a shame).

  22. SdotB April 2, 2014

I have to disagree with most of you…I LOVE THIS!! I miss MJ and I believe he would definitely want to continue to have his music released after his death, especially if it is produced by Rodney and Timbo. I’m a huge fan of both producers and I think they will pull it off very well. I am def supporting this!!

This child m******* agitates us from the grave. It is with joy that I realize that there is no heaven for this man to enjoy. It is also with sadness and disappointment to know that there unfortunately isn’t a hell for him to burn in either.
I hope with all my might that any imprint left by this disgusting child predator finds no success.

Michael Jackson is without a doubt the king. Whenever i listen his songs i feel as he is still alive. Unquestionably one of the biggest music stars ever been born!
