Bill Cosby is battling back.
The actor, comedian, and cultural thinker has been at the centre of multiple-rape allegations – some as old as forty years ago, others as recent as this decade.
Yesterday saw former supermodel Janice Dickinson throw her name into the mix of women accusing ‘The Cosby Show’ star of sexual assault.
And while the 77-year-old has maintained silence, he’s slamming the claims of his latest detractor by way of his lawyer.
The TV legend’s legal counsel released a statement to The Wrap moments ago. Read it below…
Janice Dickinson’s story accusing Bill Cosby of rape is a lie. There is a glaring contradiction between what she is claiming now for the first time and what she wrote in her own book and what she told the media back in 2002. Ms. Dickinson did an interview with the New York Observer in September 2002 entitled “Interview With a Vamp” completely contradicting her new story about Mr. Cosby. That interview a dozen years ago said “she didn’t want to go to bed with him and he blew her off.”
Her publisher Harper Collins can confirm that no attorney representing Mr. Cosby tried to kill the alleged rape story (since there was no such story) or tried to prevent her from saying whatever she wanted about Bill Cosby in her book. The only story she gave 12 years ago to the media and in her autobiography was that she refused to sleep with Mr. Cosby and he blew her off. Documentary proof and Ms. Dickinson’s own words show that her new story about something she now claims happened back in 1982 is a fabricated lie. {Source}

Again, there really is a need to exercise caution in the absence of undeniable facts or legal proceedings (although, we’re pretty sure the statute of limitations means the latter is unlikely to ever take place).
That said, it will be interesting to see if Cosby will make similar rebuttals against the other claims. Given the current media storm, it’s highly unlikely silence will suffice.

lol so just because Janice Dickinson is a “coke w****” and a liar she should deny this? That’s the reason most r*** victims don’t report, because, everyone assumes they’re lying for their own gain. That’s r*** culture for you, folks. 16-ish other women say Cosby r**** them. Janice also tried to put this in her book 10+ years ago but her publisher took it out, so it’s not like she came up with this out of nowhere. Less than 1% of reported r*** cases are false. There’s definitely a chance he did this.
If she is lying, she is the type of woman that makes it hard for other women who have really been r*** to have someone believe them. Now people are going to start questioning the other women if it comes out she’s lying.

Someone on drugs shouldn’t be treated as if they are lying about r***. It’s funny how he blasts her but what about the other women? No word on them yet which is funny. I think he did do it but hey doubt he could be charged unless they could prove some type of mental abuse throughout the years like contracts or threats to sue or demolish their lives even further

But it’s strange that I’ve never Eric heard this r*** thing all my life I’m 34, he would never blast his views on booty call or other things for fear he would be exposed as a hypocrite…cosby did not r*** anyone my mama can say she was r**** by him if anyone comes to the case they would get a check that dam near clear.
