Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange, is once again bidding for music stardom. After the disappointment that was her first album ‘Solo Star’ back in 2003, Solange has now re-emerged with a much more mature sound. These two new tracks- ‘ChampagneChronicNightcap‘ and ‘White Picket Dreams’ show Solange’s departure from the R&B/Pop sound on her last album to a more adult-contemporary R&B sound. I didn’t expect to like the songs, but I really do. Solange’s currently-untitled album is scheduled to drop later this year.What do you think?

OK…stop hating on that yung lady…Ya’ll prolly didn’t even listen to the tracks. I’ll admit when i first looked at the titles i was a little skeptical, but they are REALLY GOOD!!! The vocals are CRAZY…Arrangments…CRAZY!!!! Please don’t hate, and give her a chance.

Why people always hatin? I’m really feelin these tracks – more than i expected to. It’s nice to see someone being more creative and stepping out of the box once in a while. I particularly love champagne chronic night cap. I cant wait for Solange’s album!
I admit when I first found out about this solange coming out with a new album I thought it was gonna be a repeat of her last attempt. But after listening to these new songs I’m happy to say that she has evolved greatly.
She is now walking her own path instead so trying to follow her sis Beyonce (which would lead her to her downfall in her career). Then her vocals are soooo much stronger; this time she knows what she has to do.
Now she has direction, a new style musically & a new purpose to stick around in this game a little longer. I for one am now on her bandwagon, I just hope the rest of the album is as great as these songs.

I like the 1st song, but I was supa surprised 2 hear Solange reference weed…..that shocked me! But hey, girl, get cho smoke on!!!
She is really talented, more so on that grown folk, neo-soul tip. I like it though.
I was surprised to hear about the weed too but these songs are HOTT! I promise I will buy the CD instead of downloading it if the rest of the CD is this hott. People are quick to tear her down because of Bey but give her a chance. Go Solange!

Its real chill and layed back. and it got a beat like Flaws and All. We jus not really wantin 2 except her in tha music world. So i see from both sides
Ok, People be honest Solange has some true vocal skills. Not for nothing, but her voice is not as annoying as Beyonce’s. Let’s see Ashanti, Ciara, Rhianna,Cassie, need I continue, she could sing them under a table, but I think she needs to find new direction. She can really sing:)
She seems like she is trying to sound like her sister…especially in White Picket Dreams. That beat in the background sounds like the same beat Beyonce has in Flaws and All. But I can’t even front…I was feelin that first song a little.
I like white picket dreams the best but champagne chronic nightcap is listenable…her solostar album was excellent…much better than i thought. Anyway solange gets a bit carried away wit her vocals on these 2 songs.

I Like da Champange joint, it’s not a number one hit but it could touch top 20 mark for sure. I think her voice has grown since the Solostar album and when her album is completly finished she will hit platinum

Solange has really changed as far as her music, topics and vocal arrangements. Folks need to stop comparing her to her sister and just listen to her as an individual. If you can get past her last name you would see that she has some real potential. If the rest of the album flows like these two tracks she has a chance to make her mark in the industry
My impression of the first minute of champagne chronic nightcap was like I thought she didn’t sound so hot and I wasn’t feelin it, but the more I listened I started to like it. I thought it was cute. When she’s trying to sing strong she doesn’t sound so hot, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE her falsetto. She sounds good when she’s doing that. I like how she keepin it kinda ghetto on the song. I was like I can tell she from H-town (me too) when she said light the droll etc. LOL. But I gotta support her because she’s from Houston and we show love for our own. Plus everytime I see her in the mall or at parties she cool!
