65 years after the release of Disney‘s animated version of the ‘Cinderella‘ story, this year will welcome the arrival of a live action take on the tale, starring ‘Notes On a Scandal‘s Cate Blanchett and ‘Alice in Wonderland‘s Helena Bonham Carter.
Due out on March 13th, the movie kicked off its promotional campaign with an enchanting trailer hours ago.

Ever since I was a little girl, my favorite thing (besides Tinkerbell, Mariah Carey, & Hello Kitty) has been Cinderelly. I can’t wait to watch this! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
b**** it’s *Cinderella damn you so hoodrat
Cinderelly is what the mice called her in the animation, hello.
Thank you @xtina fan.
she not even cute/ movie looks dated rather than modern
This looks well put together, however, “Ever After” with Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Houston will always be the best adaptation for me. Granted Whitney’s vocals alone slayed and saved that mess that was Cinderella with Brandy.
Why couldn’t she be black?
Keke Palmer? Hello? Hollywood though…
If you want a black Cinderella then produce and cast a black Cinderella movie. Go to Atlanta (your best bet to be frank) and pitch the idea. I’m sure someone will love the idea. Just like the upcoming Chocolate City movie. Someone wanted a black Magic Mike and someone pitched the idea and now it’s coming out this year. Some if you want to see something done get up and do something about it 🙂
You are naïve to think I’m not doing anything about it. This is a post about Cinderella. This is my opinion about it.
There’s no need to get nasty. And I was simply just saying. Further more your comment would suggest otherwise because it sounds like you’re whining. So instead of saying “Why can’t she be black?”, you should of said “I am going to make a black version.” PERIOD.
LOL
Ummm this is not the first live version of Cinderella, Brandy had the first live version of Cinderella starring Whitney Houston as her Godmother remember ? This is the second live action version.
Actually no First Love from 1939 the American musical film directed by Henry Koster and starring Deanna Durbin was….
Brandy’s Cinderella will always be the best Cinderella! PERIOD.
