Another fun song from Perry. Given the massive success of ‘California Gurls’ which spent 6 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, there is not doubt that this upbeat track is a worthy followup. However, I would be lying if I said that the artistic and vocal brilliance of her ‘Thinking of You’ is not sorely missed.

Sounds decent, it will definately grow on me. Another catchy pop tune that will sell. Katy definately isn’t the perfect artist, but she has spunk and a hot look. On a side note, this would have been a better album cover.
Also, “Thinking of You” didn’t really stand out to me, however, “Waking Up In Vegas” was highly underrated.
It’s a fun song, I like it. Much better than California Gurls.

I Like it, katy perry isnt the most AMAZING artist, but she does what she does VERY well. She’s definitly talented and she owns her image. She knows who she is and thats what I respect

I hear hear Pop Rock/Pop (slight Dance Pop, see “Hot N Cold”) roots! Which I like, and thought was kinda weird that
NOBODY
picked up on that regarding “California Gurls.” Everybody wanted to say Christina Aguilera went ElectroPop and copied the trend, but Katy did the same thing on “California Gurls.”

Well I think Katy Perry has personified pop for this whole summer. I mean who else has stepped up? I’m usually more of an R&B type but I’m seriously considering buying her album. This song is hot!

That photo of Katy with the purple/blue hair should have been the cover artwork of the CD. It’s more futuristic and original. Why they chose Will Cotton’s art is beyond me. Besides it would distinguish itself from the Katy with the same bland dark hair on the One of the Boys cover artwork. I don’t know but whatever!
I agree with sundee! i was like isnt this the intro of another song? i mean if u suddenly hear it on a radio u will surely think of that song! but then it isn’t. is it really no other intro this big2 people can produce?: the verse is ok, but the chorus..omg..almost the same with california girls..and it hurts my heart thinking why it sounded the same..at least put a lil twist in it.. i thought TD is the part 2 of CG! lol. no offense. i like Thinking of you for slower KP, and hot & cold for catchy KP. those work the best.
