Danity Kane may be dead and buried but the ladies of dumblonde find new life with the release of their new video for the song ‘Dreamsicle.’
The duo is made up of two-thirds of Kane’s latest incarnation and heads towards Top 40 ground with the Alfredo Flores-directed video as their former bandmate Dawn Richard enjoys success in her own lane with her more R&B flavoured material.

I like the video. They are stretching their budget all while not looking too cheap, however I don’t f*** with the song itself. Sorry. I still have a hard time taking Aubrey seriously as an artist too.

idk how i feel. aubrey was my favorite from the jump, like day 1 of making the band auditions. i wish they did not do so much alternative and what else are they doing to get new fans. the young ralor fans…they need to do major promo from all sides and not just music videos. ppl dont know they exist. dk took too long to make their “come back” just for it to fail. these girls needs to really get a hot rapper or something to blow them up. until then, they wont be doing much.i wish there was more nasty to the song and not so 80s punk pop, techno

This is exactly right! I think everyone is judging them based on the music they heard from them in DK. This is a whole new brand and quite frankly, DK was Dawn driven. DK3 still shined a spotlight on Dawn. This is the two of them carving out a lane for themselves. If they did more urban pop music everyone would be blasting them for being “white girls trying to do R&b.” Pop is where they need to be and it’s amazing! Bravo ladies! This video is everything btw, Warhol, 70s retro with 80s vibes. Yes.
From the 5 released songs, this song is the most Danity Kane of the bunch. I like it. The videos are great for them using their own money and not looking super budget worthy. Like they fit the fact they are an independent group. I like what I’ve seen and heard thus far. 3rd favorite song would be “tender green life.” Wonder if that video will be next release.
I like this, it’s not like they tried a direction/genre and it didn’t work. Nah, they nailed it. Tbh if this was a British act like Little Boots or some other small upcoming act it would be No.1.., I think they are struggling to ignite interest because they have been doing this for so long and it’s harder to see them in a fresh light.
