Big Sean is best known for dropping club ready bangers and more recently for his joint project with Jhene Aiko. But we bet you didn’t know the Detroit native is also all sorts of generous too?
Find out how and why below…
Previously organising the #HealFlintsKids fundraiser, which saw $50,000 donated to those affected by Flint’s water pollution crisis, the ‘Mercy’ MC continues giving back.
His latest act of kindness comes in the form of a $25,000 donation to Detroit’s Wayne State University HIGH (Helping Individuals Go Higher) programme. A scheme which assists students and those most in need reach the invaluable graduation milestone.
To help underprivileged students reach their goals, housing support, clothing allowances, transportation and child care are some of the incentives offered to ensure the road to graduation remains uninterrupted.
A statement via Wayne State University said:
“We see the HIGH Program as an important component of ensuring success at Wayne State, and we are proud [of Big Sean for his] help to strengthen its mission”
Kudos to Big Sean! Knowledge really is the key to a better tomorrow. His contribution – both financially and in deed – is commendable.
Rarely are the positives that rappers contribute to community spotlighted or celebrated. A fact which needs to change.
Again, a super salute to Sean.
I don’t know what it is, but I just think he’s so damn s***. His little, thin, GQ-ready body and milk chocolate porcelain skin is a complete turn-on. He needs to get a major fashion magazine cover and spread soon, cause I need to see him dressed up for his life. Still waiting for the day he takes a black woman’s hand too.
Zaddyyyy. I wanna sit on his face!
Nice
Alright homie reppin the D with yo philanthropy!
