As many-a-Brandy-fan knows, the singer/songwriter has been in a longstanding beef with label home Chameleon Records.
Likening her ongoing battle with the imprint to ‘slavery’ and continued plight and fight of ‘Warrior’ singer Ke$ha, B-Rocka has rocked headlines all year for her back and forth legal battles with Chameleon and its president Breyon Prescott (who claimed the legal drama was a “desperate ploy for publicity”).
Now, after months of silence on the matter, the Grammy-winner – via a show-stopping 9-minute performance at this year’s ‘Soul Train Awards’ – sent the audience into a roar when she emphatically announced ‘Brandy Freed!’
The proclamation sent fans buzzing that new music is on the way…

I love how manyl the “fans” went crazy with this announcement, saying how they are ready for new music. These mofos NOT buying her music is why she has struggled to sale commercially. She has consistently put out solid bodies of work and anyone who is a REAL fan actually knows that.

I have ALL of her albums. I purchased every ONE of them. At least her fans that DO purchase her albums enjoy her records. Yes commercially she didn’t sell as much for “2/11” but I think she needs a NEW team and management to promote her albums. Also don’t put a lot of blame on her fans because she needs a record label to support her! That’s how she got rid of the lawsuit and moved on because she didn’t get enough promotion for “2/ll”. Regardless the fans that DO support her will always purchase her albums. I just want her to keep slaying and I think she’ll have another great album on the way. I don think it is fair to compare Brandy to Keshia. Brandy should have known better than to sign a bad 360 deal because she has been in the industry too long for that nonsense whereas Kesha was a new artist when she got played. I think it is time Brandy went independent and toured. This way she will make more money and not be controlled by a label.
She’s not freed yet. Last week at her DC concert at the Fillmore she said she’s almost freed.

I’m still confused as to why she is called the vocal bible ?, She is not in the Whitney, Celine and Mariah club. She doesn’t sound crystal clear, sounds like smoke struggle. And I like her, Full Moon is my favorite album but Monica can outing her, but I just like Brandy more than Monica, but truth be told Brandy does not sound extraterrestrial.
