In just three days, Lady Gaga will take the Super Bowl LV stage for her much-hyped Halftime Show.
Mother Monster has successful kept the lid on the specifics of her set, yet did divulge more than she has before during a press conference.
Dive below for the juicest quotes…
On The Tracklist:
“We went through my whole career and we chose songs that we hope that both the football fans and the people who are just tuning in for the halftime show will enjoy.”
Despite recent reports of NFL banning Gaga of any political statements, she says she will indeed getting political:
“The only statements that I’ll be making during the Halftime show are the ones that I have been consistently making throughout my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality and the spirit of this country as one of love and compassion and kindness. My performance will uphold those philosophies.
I don’t know if I will succeed in unifying America — you’ll have to ask America when it’s over.
Music is one of the most powerful things the world has to offer. No matter what race or religion or nationality or sexual orientation or gender that you are, it has the power to unite us.?
While the Super Bowl is in Beyonce hometown this year, she more than likely won’t be making an appearance with Gaga.
“I was actually with her the last Halftime show she did, and she always is very inspiring and gives great advice — she’s a very focused and genuine performer.
I have sent her flowers since I’ve heard of her amazing news, on the way, so I’m excited about her new children — and I’m going to be taking the spirit of many performers with me on that stage when I go up there. I’m grateful to have wonderful women in this business that are supportive of me.”
Known for her innovative style, the fashion maven is taking extra precautions avoid any wardrobe malfunctions.
“Everything is going to be nice and tight for the game, so I wouldn’t worry about that.’
“I am going to have to say that the preparation for this show is the show business version of the athlete. We have our own set of criteria that we go through.”
She also spoke about the strenuous preparations that her and her team have been working to perfect the performance.
“For two months we dedicated our time to creating the story of the show, creating the musical score, and then we created the set, what it would look like, then we choreographed the actual dance routine and then we choreographed the pyrotechnics. Additionally, to all of that, we go through an extensive amount of training so that I can sing and dance for the show for 13 minutes.”
We’re buzzed for Gaga at the Super Bowl this Sunday. Are you?
Your thoughts?
Can’t wait! ?
Gaga will be better than Coldplay, that’s for sure! Chile, I forgot they were there! Look at this GIF…Bey and Bruno was like, “Chris…where you at, boo?”

lol
Keep it…
Girl you better reclaim your spot in pop music this will be a make it or break it performance.
I don’t think it will make a difference….even if its the most amazing show, it won’t do anything for her at this point. JOANNE was very telling of her status right now…
If she was smart she’d drop a new single after the performance. Gaga is super talented and i guess deserves another chance i’ll be rooting her this weekend hopefully she keeps the gimmicks at home ?
@Molly when she was bleeding on the VMA stage in 2009 that was not a gimmick that was performance art at its highest level. Burning the piano at the AMAs singing speechless & wearing the meat dress was so Iconic it’s what made her special. It wasn’t until she stopped evolving that Little monster stop supporting her art. Born This Way was suppose to be like a Star Wars Movie but she gave us Star Trek the tv show. She could have made the next Star Wars: The Force Awakens
@belldonna
Evidently it was a gimmick because Gaga has evolved musically and vocally. Just seems like her fans stopped supporting her when she started focusing more on the music and less on all of the theatrics.
Rooting for Gaga! A lot of people wrote Gaga off or (secretly hoping she fails) but, I know she is going to slay!
I feel like the Fame Monster Gaga wasn’t really who she was, I think it was more of Lorrean Gibson,Troy Carter & Nicola Formagatti who made her one of the greatest creative artist of all time & when they left i.e BornThisWay & Artpop she just went to sh*t. So I’m not sure if she really has what it takes like 2010 Gaga did but I’m going to be positive & hope for the best.
It could be a changing game if well executed ! there is still hope and i’m definetely tuning in .
Good luck Gaga
I think her performance will be amazing, it has to be, if she is smart, like I think she is, then she’s preparing a mind-blowing performance that people will remembered for decades, if not, then she won’t have another chance, no, she won’t disappear but her career will never see mainstream success again, she will have a Cyndi Lauper type of career, just there, in the shadows.
Again, i don’t think A GREAT performance will still do anything for her…
In teh shadows? S****** you are reacging. If these last two years are an example of how her career will be from now on then she definitely won´t be visiting any shadows. Every major musical event or oscars for example keep booking her. And her last album sold what most “successful” albums sell nowadays. She won´t be the top artist (meaning absolute #1) that she probably was for a couple of years worldwide (which is more than what 99% of artists can say) but she won´t be having any trouble maintaining a career that people will actually SEE (so no, I don´t think it is a Cindy lauper case).
I’d be excited too if I paid $5 mill to perform and then act like it was offered to me and that I had been planning this moment since I was 4. She’s so extra!
All of the half time performers have had to fund their own shows ya big dummy
STFU she didnt shell out any coins… they’re spending 10 million on her performance, MORE MONEY THAN THEYVE EVER spent on anyone’s performance
They always shell out coins, right from Bruno to Katy etc the half time was no longer about legendary artistes but desperate wannabes.
I have a feeling she’ll be the best yet. She has all of the factors that make for a great performance. The voice, the moves/choreo, the style/fashion, shock factor, innovative sets…I can go on and on.
Exactly, I’m expecting something out of this world, she has what it takes to make the best halftime show, but it’s that what she wants?…I really hope so, this is a one time opportunity.
S****** I´m sure you are trying to create high expectations just to hate on her the day after. Behave 🙂
Lol you are delusional.
No one will out perform MJ.
For this one time i hope she goes back to her slay mode, i know the Joanne era is toned down which is nice for a change but she needs to fight for that power career and this show is the perfect platform. Bring the shock factor too the world misses that, even though people wont admit it. She has the big anthemic hits that people can sing along to, so my girl will be fine.
Omg I cannot wait!!!
People are saying that if she does good it won’t help her career SHUT UP!!!! If she does great she will sell more albums and songs and get back the attention she’s missing. You’re all so bothered !!
Exactly, people are forgetting that this IS HER CAREER lol…she’s living in the moment, performing on the world’s biggest stage on Sunday…like, HELLO…she’s 30 years old! Joanne coming through bih, so move out the way!

lol
LOL yes that gif is perfect. Gaga constantly proving haters wrong. She´s here to stay and HAS GOT the talent.
We get IT. She’s not as huge as 2010 let her do the dam show smh.
Im excited to see which spell she will be casting on the masses.
She’s gonna put on her old costume, sing the hits and end the performance with that dumb ass A Million Reasons song… with the pink hat and her awkward elvis presley face expressions.
I’ll pass.
This interview sounds surprisingly enchanting and appealing. Everything seems to be on point. I don´t know if it will be more about the huge spectacle (hello Katy Perry “I have nothing else to offer”) or more about her talent. Hopefully a really great mix of both things. I suppose she´ll close with a ballad (with actual vocals 🙂 ). I´m 95% sure her performance will be praised. People and sometimes media want to often hate on her. But she proves every damn time she performs somewhere that they are wrong. This will be the same. Thankfully, most people really know by now how talented she is (something that was still new for many when she left everybody jaw-dropped with her first oscars performance). Good luck. I hope we all enjoy the performance for what it is. My personal favorite from this last 5 years is probably Bruno Mars´. How about you guys? 🙂
Oh and I find it interesting that she´ll going to end that trend of getting a featured artist to support the show. I think it is a good decision. Although if the collabo had been the type Bruno and RHCP did it wouldn´t have been bad.
Nice
