With the 2017 Grammy Awards just a week away, producers have announced a new round of performers. A list that includes Chi-Town star Chance The Rapper.
The ‘Blessings‘ MC raked in seven nods including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Performance. Hence, for many observers, confirmation of his slot was was more a case of “when” than “if.”
As for his odds of taking home gold come February 12th? It’s looking good.
He’ll be competing against himself in the Best Rap Song category. For, beyond his own hit ‘No Problems,’ his lauded verse on Kanye‘s ‘Ultralight Beam‘ is present; he’s also a writer on Ye’s ‘Famous.’
Whatever happens, the Hip-Hop star can rest assured that he’s acquired the attention and favor of the industry’s most notable forces.
Last year, the rules of Grammy eligibility were changed to acknowledge streaming-only albums — like Chance’s ‘Coloring Book.’
Additional names are set to be announced imminently.
