Drake continues to cast a multi-platinum shadow over the likes of Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Jason Derulo.
Standing tall as only of the only artists to enjoy success on streaming and pure sale fronts alike, the rapper has discovered that streams garnered by songs on his ‘More Life‘ release have crossed the 1 billion mark.
With this, the set spends its third week atop the Billboard 200 with 136,000 equivalent album units, extending the star’s lead as Pop and Hip-Hop’s reigning champ.
The set’s 22 tracks have now generated more than 1 billion on-demand audio streams in the U.S.: 1.07 billion through the week ending April 6, according to Nielsen Music. The latest tracking week pushed it past the billion threshold, as it collected another 167 million streams in the frame.
What does Drake have that the others (his male contemporaries) don’t?
Drake is overrated. Like him though but.
IMO Aubrey music isn’t anything to write home about..Isn’t this Degrassi on Nickelodeon? ?
what does Drake have that his other male contemporaries don’t, you ask?
umm… a contract with APPLE that includes a clause stating, “we will exaggerate your numbers to the press if you continue allowing us exclusive access to present & future releases”. thats what?
do you HONESTLY think his “More Life” album has garnered over ONE BILLION streams? BE SERIOUS.
Spotify shows how many streams of each song on the album. Its not that hard to add them up and find out that he’s over a billion streams. Its not that hard to comprehend. People love his music and they keep it on repeat.
