Azealia Banks is in a remorseful mood.
The unpredictable rapper has slammed many an artist with reckless abandon – ultimately leading to the burning of countless bridges.
Perhaps in a bid to repair them, the New Yorker has been publicly expressing regret. And now, Beyonce is her latest focus.
While at one time it appeared a collaboration between the two was nigh (anyone remember ‘Ratchet’?), recent times have seen Banks brandish Bey a “thief” following the release of ‘Lemonade.’
What does she have to say now? Find out below…
From the desk of Azealia Banks:
@beyonce, I apologize for throwing tantrums in the past. They totally came from a place of feeling left out.. you’ve inspired so much of the way I think about/value you myself as a performer and I ADORE you. Your presence in the art world and on earth is supernatural and and am so so so inspired by you. YOU DESERVE THE BEST. You deserve the finest things in life AND FINEST ART the art world has to offer. What’s mine is yours… anything you want of my art, etc YOU CAN HAVE. I would give you the clothes off of my back girl!! Thank you for always making the little black girl in me smile?. You’ve truly always been a beacon of light for me and I’m so so humbled by this.
Love,
Azealia
The letter came after Bey posted a pic with the caption CHICHI GET LLELLO.
See, the line is a popular one from the movie ‘Scarface’ — but is also a lyric from Banks’ song ‘Chi Chi.’
What Bey was referring to is unknown. Yet, what is is certain is that it prompted the femcee to try and make amends.
As we enter the New Year, our hope for Azealia is that she lets her music do the talking.
It remains to be seen whether she can salvage any of her earlier buzz, but she can still enjoy a respectable presence should she proceed without self-baked controversy.
Keep it! We don’t care! Hopefully our illuminati Queen will sacrifice her next to prolong her career. B7 is coming!
Someone get her a good rep. One that can put up with her tantrums and tiaras!
I fear it’s too late for this incredible talent! What a waste of a career!
She’s young I believe she can still be successful on a commercial front with a good rep and a management team that keeps her in check. Honestly she just needs to take that anger and put it on her music as therapy watching her in interviews she seems pretty cool compare to what we get on social media from her.
Its a little late for this sis…but i will say IMO the girl can spit better bars than Cardio B and she has a better flow than Nicki IMO and BARS if I’m being real…but she puts her foot in her mouth too much.
Not so who the he’ll are you queen niki Card I wack b.
lol smh she is crazy. But looking at the pictures posted for this post and reading the title together is hilarious! ?
Who cares? Career suicides was done. There will be no amends. She’ll have something scathing to say about Beyoncé by May 2018.
Anybody else see the condescending tone this “apology” took? Why would Azealia assume Beyoncé was quoting her and not Scarface just like she did? Then to go as far as to say “What’s mine is yours… anything you want of my art, etc YOU CAN HAVE.” GIRL!
AZmonkey YOUR TRASH!!!! NO ONE WANTS ANYTHING FROM YOU!
We love you girl get your rap on you goid hook up with queen niki you the princess of rap dis day forward go get um pretty girlnot so.
Tricki Garbagh isn’t the queen of rap with her career based off of features & wack ALBUMS!!
Adidas Banks enough is enough… she goes on these attack modes then apologizes for it with these same apologies… “I was feeling overlooked, I was feeling left out”..s*** I’m feeling irritated….either make music or go seek help…either way gtfoh ya bum!!! NEXT!!!!!!!
We love you girl get your rap on you goid hook up with queen niki you the princess of rap dis day forward go get um pretty girl
Not buying it.
That’s big of her, I really hope she truly turns a new page in the coming year, she is too talented to be wasting her time being this crazy person attacking everyone, she truly needs to make her music do the talking focus on her art, people out her really likes her and feels her music/art but her nonsense kept pushing people away, I am truly wishing her the best.
God I hope sh change and never say any moore of to our queen Bey
