It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from LeToya, it’s been even longer since there was any sign of the follow-up to Ms. Luckett’s Platinum certified debut (which was supposed to drop early this year). Word has it that since the merger of her label Capitol with Virgin last year, things haven’t been right at the label since (example: the last time you heard of Cherish or J. Holiday?).Anyway, a brand new track featuring R&B crooner Avant has surfaced titled ‘Somebody Else’. I must stress that the song IS NOT LeToya’s first release from the new album – and thankfully so. It’s not that the smooth, laid back’ mid-tempo isn’t good – quite the contrary; I’m just gonna need LeToya to knock the ball out the park with her new material – coming off such a solid debut, as well as the fact she’s been gone for so long. Here’s hoping the album’s release is nigh.

It’s a great song.. Can’t wait until her label gets it together and she drops another great album. Her voice has always been good, but she is gaining more control.. She’s a force!
its pretty cool….i agree def not single material but its a great album song,she didnt have many album songs that were great on the last album,but i kept “obvious” on repeat though. i miss avant too though i’m waiting for that album,and has anybody seen donnell jones???

I like this cut. It’s cool. Letoya and Avant vocals mesh well together.
I love it. Both LeToya and Avant’s vocals are on point. I hardly think this is first single material. Probably an album filler or it may not be on the album at all. Either way LeToya’s voice is improving. She can definitely blow. Here’s hoping her album drops at the expected month of January. But I still think she needs to let Capitol go, it’s clear that something is definitely not right with them.

I like the song. It’s always nice to hear some new stuff from LeToya. Her and Avant sound good together on the song. I hope her album comes out at the top of the year like she says. It’s been a while since we had a good album since her first one.
