The internet went nuts last week when all five Spice Girls were photographed having lunch together, a reunion that spurred unconfirmed reports the ladies were gearing up for a world tour.
But, just as the story was making its rounds, one of the group’s members – Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) – quickly quelled the rumors.

Beckham, who recently took to New York to show off her autumn/winter collection for 2018’s New York Fashion Week, told Vogue:
“I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour,” said to Vogue…
“It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.”
The quote above follows the group statement (released after the ladies were spotted at lunch) that set the tour rumor wheels in motion.
“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”
It was too good to be true seeing Victoria with all of them. Ugh I really wanted to see them live. Maybe one day

The tour wouldn’t have done very well outside the UK anyway. Most countries have moved on and don’t have the same nostalgia the Brits have. That’s what happens when you come from a country where your “best” girl bands are the likes of Little Mix and The Saturdays
