Terrence Howard has his sights set on a role that could eclipse any he’s played on screen: President of the United States.
The ‘Empire’ actor has revealed that he’s entertaining the idea of running for the White House.
And he’s already floating a bold proposal that would see descendants of enslaved people receive a staggering 400 years of federal tax exemptions.

Howard made the surprising declaration during a conversation with TMZ in New York City.
Asked whether he was looking forward to voting in the upcoming midterm elections, the 57-year-old had a rather different ambition in mind.
He declared:
“Yes. I’m looking forward to becoming president.”
And when quizzed about how serious he was, Howard doubled down:
“If they’re not going to make a difference, somebody’s got to do something.”
Beyond the presidential aspirations, the star outlined an ambitious approach to reparations.
Howard wants to meet with Donald Trump to discuss exempting descendants of enslaved Americans from federal taxes for the next four centuries.
He believes the measure could help address longstanding economic inequality and create greater opportunities for investment in Black communities.
Interestingly, Howard also weighed in on Nicki Minaj’s increasingly public political alliance with Trump, questioning how the rapper is using her influence.
The political talk marks quite the potential career pivot for Howard, who previously announced his retirement from acting.
For now, though, there’s no formal campaign, political affiliation, or declared election bid.
Still, from playing Lucious Lyon on ‘Empire’ to potentially eyeing the Oval Office, Howard certainly isn’t thinking small.
