Kanye West has been unapologetic about his controversial alliances. Case in point his friendship and endorsement of the US’ polarizing president Donald Trump.
However, it seems the rapper now wants out of the political sphere.
Details below…
In a stream of tweets, Kanye – who has been vocal about his allegiance to the Make America Great Again movement – denounced politics and stressed that he had been used to propagate beliefs he didn’t align with.
The catalyst for his annoyance appears to be the uber-conservative Candace Owens and her push for Blexit (black exit from Democratic Party).
Yeezy explained:
“I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.”
Prior to now, Owens had said:
“Blexit [black exit from Democratic Party] is a renaissance and I’m blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero — Kanye West.”

It’s worth highlighting that in the time since the tweets, West has made clear to TMZ that – despite inferences from many – he hasn’t explicitly denounced Donald Trump in his divorce from politics.
Although, several have noted that his comments about asylum seem at direct odds with some of Trump’s policies. Figures?

Once has to wonder whether it’s a case of “too little, too late.” After all, so much (arguably too much) of Kanye’s antics are emblazoned into public consciousness.
Then there’s the question of whether his behavior has all been one elaborate trolling session. He does, when you think about it, have an album (‘YANDHI’) dropping on November 23rd.
What are…
? whatever you’re trying to sell Koonye Kartrashian I DON’T WANT any part of your FOOLISHNESS!! ?

I guess that tea wore off and now he trying to “Get Out” !
He jumped at every opportunity to work with the alt-right under Trump now he’s been used? Come on.
I agree 100%
Kanye and R.Kelly are both cancelled
Robert has NOTHING to do with this! Unlike Kanye, R. Kelly still sells out concerts and has a strong straight female fan base who loyally supports him. Sorry Robert does not appeal or cater to your kind u hating R. Kelly obsessed psycho.
His schizophrenia case his really the hard one damn
This.
I’m a conservative, and I saw this coming. Aside from Kanye being generally impulsive and not having thought through a holistic conservative political and economic view, I figured his fan worship of Donald Trump would leave him disillusioned.
I specifically expected Kanye to be very disappointed when Donald Trump does nothing about Chicago, which he shouldn’t and hopefully won’t. We don’t live in a national police state, and that is a good thing. The problems in Chicago do not warrant federal intervention. That is why President Obama did not do anything about Chicago.
For a self-declared conservative, you sound pretty democratic in your defense of the rule of law. Kudos.
What about Puerto Rico going a year without electric and Michigan”s brown water that has been a problem for 2 years. These are people”s lives that have been hurt and Trump has not fixed these problems.
He’s only saying this because those yeezys aren’t selling.
Lol
Lmao. Bye girl.
He just doesn’t t want to get sued over that logo because it looks similar to the Air Jordan logo.
All this energy we put into kanye we need to put into this guy cause Kanye no longer deserves https://youtu.be/f9p5cmh-pJY
